Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work State by Alex Ruthner was sold in the The Hoarder: Part III auction at Sothebys in London in December 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 1,386.00 (€ 1,653.21), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alex Ruthner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Wiesenstück, which sold at auction in February 2016 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,406.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit State von Alex Ruthner wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion The Hoarder: Part III bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.386,00 (€ 1.653,21) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Für andere Arbeiten von Alex Ruthner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Wiesenstück beobachtet, die im Februar 2016 für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.406,88) versteigert wurde.
