The work Still Life With Fish by Alexis Gritchenko was worth GBP 22,800.00 (€ 33,858.71) to a buyer in November 2006. This price was achieved in the auction Important Russian Pictures at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexis Gritchenko - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Open Window, Menton, which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 67,250.00 (€ 85,006.25).
