Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Étude de villages Éthiopiens, Addis-Abeba by Aleksandr Evgen'evich Iakovlev was sold in the Important Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in November 2007. The price achieved of GBP 96,500.00 (€ 135,124.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aleksandr Evgen'evich Iakovlev achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Vasilii Shukhaev In His Studio in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,820,000.00 (€ 4,184,738.17).
