Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Proyecto Ciudad by Alejandro Xul Solar. The price achieved of USD 37,000.00 (€ 23,778.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alejandro Xul Solar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mundo, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 75,000.00 (€ 71,009.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Proyecto Ciudad von Alejandro Xul Solar zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 37.000,00 (€ 23.778,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alejandro Xul Solar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mundo beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 75.000,00 (€ 71.009,28) versteigert wurde.
