Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hasta Todos Los Cenites by Alejandro Xul Solar was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 24,617.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alejandro Xul Solar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mundo, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 75,000.00 (€ 71,009.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hasta Todos Los Cenites von Alejandro Xul Solar kam im November 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 24.617,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Alejandro Xul Solar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mundo beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 75.000,00 (€ 71.009,28) versteigert wurde.
