Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction The Greek Sale, which included the work Greek Abstract Composition by Alékos Kondópoulos. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 24,500.00 (€ 34,306.34), 23% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alékos Kondópoulos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Greek Présence D'Un Souvenir (Presence Of A Memory), which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 102,500.00 (€ 130,673.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Greek Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Greek Abstract Composition von Alékos Kondópoulos zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 24.500,00 (€ 34.306,34) und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Alékos Kondópoulos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Greek Présence D'Un Souvenir (Presence Of A Memory) beobachtet, die im April 2008 für GBP 102.500,00 (€ 130.673,02) versteigert wurde.
