It achieved a price of EUR 3,750.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25 %. Admittedly, works by Albertus Verhoesen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cattle, Sheep and a Goat by a River in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 21,150.00 (€ 22,722.39).

Die Arbeit Poultry by a ruin in an extensive landscape von Albertus Verhoesen wurde im März 2011 in der Auktion Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 3.750,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albertus Verhoesen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cattle, Sheep and a Goat by a River im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.150,00 (€ 22.722,39).
