This artwork by Albertus Verhoesen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2012. In the Old Masters and 19th Century Art auction, the work A polder landscape with a bull and two goats sold for EUR 3,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,600.00. Admittedly, works by Albertus Verhoesen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cattle, Sheep and a Goat by a River in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 21,150.00 (€ 22,722.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Albertus Verhoesen erzielte im Mai 2012 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art wurde die Arbeit A polder landscape with a bull and two goats für EUR 3.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Albertus Verhoesen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cattle, Sheep and a Goat by a River im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.150,00 (€ 22.722,39).
