Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2002 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work Locupletissimi Rerum Naturalium Thesauri: Six Plates by Albertus Seba. It changed hands for a price of USD 3,824.00 (€ 3,879.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Other works by Albertus Seba have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2002 the work A group of five Studies of Reptiles and Botanicals was auctioned for USD 4,935.00 (€ 5,699.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2002 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Locupletissimi Rerum Naturalium Thesauri: Six Plates von Albertus Seba zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 3.824,00 (€ 3.879,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Albertus Seba konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Februar 2002 die Arbeit A group of five Studies of Reptiles and Botanicals für USD 4.935,00 (€ 5.699,93) versteigert.
