It achieved a price of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,649.39), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alberto Prosdocimi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Venezia, Il Ponte Di Rialto, which sold at auction in June 2001 for EUR 6,125.00.

Die Arbeit Fishermen moored on the Venetian Lagoon von Alberto Prosdocimi kam im März 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.649,39) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Für andere Arbeiten von Alberto Prosdocimi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Venezia, Il Ponte Di Rialto beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für EUR 6.125,00 versteigert wurde.
