Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2008 Christies in London held the auction Nineteenth Century European Art, which included the work A gondola on the Venetian lagoon, San Giorgio Maggiore beyond; and Squero di San Trovaso, Dorsoduro, Venice by Alberto Prosdocimi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 3,016.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alberto Prosdocimi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Venezia, Il Ponte Di Rialto, which sold at auction in June 2001 for EUR 6,125.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Nineteenth Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A gondola on the Venetian lagoon, San Giorgio Maggiore beyond; and Squero di San Trovaso, Dorsoduro, Venice von Alberto Prosdocimi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 3.016,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Alberto Prosdocimi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Venezia, Il Ponte Di Rialto beobachtet, die im Juni 2001 für EUR 6.125,00 versteigert wurde.
