In July 2007 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours and Original Book Illustrations, which included the work A calm day on the Venetian lagoon by Alberto Prosdocimi. The result of GBP 600.00 (€ 891.14) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Alberto Prosdocimi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venezia, Il Ponte Di Rialto in June 2001 with an auction result of EUR 6,125.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Original Book Illustrations durch, in der auch die Arbeit A calm day on the Venetian lagoon von Alberto Prosdocimi zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 600,00 (€ 891,14) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alberto Prosdocimi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Venezia, Il Ponte Di Rialto im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.125,00.
