Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Gondolier on the Venetian lagoon; and Fishing boats before Venice by Alberto Prosdocimi was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 625.00 (€ 703.86). Admittedly, works by Alberto Prosdocimi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Venezia, Il Ponte Di Rialto in June 2001 with an auction result of EUR 6,125.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Gondolier on the Venetian lagoon; and Fishing boats before Venice von Alberto Prosdocimi im April 2011 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 625,00 (€ 703,86) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alberto Prosdocimi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Venezia, Il Ponte Di Rialto im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.125,00.
