It achieved a price of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 58,715.44), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 44%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alberto Morrocco - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grande Natura Morta Napolitana, which sold at auction in August 2006 for GBP 98,400.00 (€ 146,327.02).

Die Arbeit Sunbathers At Fondachello II von Alberto Morrocco wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 58.715,44) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Für andere Arbeiten von Alberto Morrocco mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grande Natura Morta Napolitana beobachtet, die im August 2006 für GBP 98.400,00 (€ 146.327,02) versteigert wurde.
