It achieved a price of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,582.36), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 53%. Admittedly, works by Alberto Korda have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Guerrillero Heroico (Che Guevara), 5/30/1960 in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,473.89).

Die Arbeit Fidel Castro shooting pheasant with Kruschev von Alberto Korda kam im April 2010 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.582,36) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 53%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alberto Korda auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Guerrillero Heroico (Che Guevara), 5/30/1960 im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.473,89).
