Auction result well in line with expectations

In November last year Christies in New York held the auction 20th Century Evening Sale, which included the work Femme couchée qui rêve by Alberto Giacometti. The price achieved of USD 3,780,000.00 (€ 3,661,726.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000,000.00 – 5,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alberto Giacometti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'homme au doigt in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 141,285,000.00 (€ 128,511,006.00).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im November letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion 20th Century Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Femme couchée qui rêve von Alberto Giacometti zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.780.000,00 (€ 3.661.726,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000.000,00 – 5.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alberto Giacometti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'homme au doigt im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 141.285.000,00 (€ 128.511.006,00).
