This price was achieved in the auction 19th Century European Art at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Albert Lynch; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Springtime sold at auction in January 2008 with the realized price of GBP 44,900.00 (€ 60,190.38).
