A top price for Albert Bloch - as previously expected
The work Duell (Duel) by Albert Bloch was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,095,000.00 (€ 967,058.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Duell (Duel) is the most expensive artwork by Albert Bloch that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Duell (Duel) von Albert Bloch wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.095.000,00 (€ 967.058,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
