Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,223.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alastair Flattely - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stonehaven Harbour, which sold at auction in March 2002 for GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,689.14).
