Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art and Dogs, which included the work Two Elephants by Alan M. Hunt. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,134.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alan M. Hunt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mother Love - Orang-utan in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 19,975.00 (€ 32,648.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Elephants von Alan M. Hunt zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.134,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alan M. Hunt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mother Love - Orang-utan im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 19.975,00 (€ 32.648,35).
