Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Wave Crest by Alan Lowndes was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,737.50 (€ 6,527.51). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alan Lowndes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Putting To Sea in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 64,900.00 (€ 88,131.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Wave Crest von Alan Lowndes wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.737,50 (€ 6.527,51) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alan Lowndes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Putting To Sea im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 64.900,00 (€ 88.131,08).
