Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work The Circus by Alan Lowndes. The price achieved of GBP 6,400.00 (€ 7,466.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alan Lowndes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Putting To Sea in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 64,900.00 (€ 88,131.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Circus von Alan Lowndes zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.400,00 (€ 7.466,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alan Lowndes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Putting To Sea im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 64.900,00 (€ 88.131,08).
