Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Rectory Farm, Slimbridge by Alan Lowndes was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 8,960.00 (€ 10,382.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alan Lowndes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Putting To Sea in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 64,900.00 (€ 88,131.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Rectory Farm, Slimbridge von Alan Lowndes wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.960,00 (€ 10.382,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alan Lowndes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Putting To Sea im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 64.900,00 (€ 88.131,08).
