Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nude and Fig Tree by Alan Lowndes was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. The price achieved of GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,777.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alan Lowndes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Putting To Sea in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 64,900.00 (€ 88,131.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nude and Fig Tree von Alan Lowndes wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.845,00 (€ 5.777,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alan Lowndes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Putting To Sea im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 64.900,00 (€ 88.131,08).
