This artwork by Alan Lowndes achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in November 2021. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Cottage in Mousehole sold for GBP 8,925.00 (€ 10,478.79) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alan Lowndes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Putting To Sea in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 64,900.00 (€ 88,131.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alan Lowndes erzielte im November 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Cottage in Mousehole für GBP 8.925,00 (€ 10.478,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alan Lowndes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Putting To Sea im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 64.900,00 (€ 88.131,08).
