Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alan Green achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2019. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Full Red sold for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,705.02) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alan Green have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four Vertical Reds in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 52,874.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alan Green erzielte im März 2019 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit Full Red für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.705,02) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alan Green auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four Vertical Reds im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 52.874,53).
