It achieved a price of GBP 1,657.50 (€ 1,885.73), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 66%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alan Furneaux - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Marrakesh Pool, which sold at auction in March this year for GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,512.12).

Die Arbeit Mousehole Still Life With Yellow Jug And Bottle Brush (Unframed) von Alan Furneaux wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.657,50 (€ 1.885,73) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 66%. Für andere Arbeiten von Alan Furneaux mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Marrakesh Pool beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für GBP 4.845,00 (€ 5.512,12) versteigert wurde.
