Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Moonlight on St Michael's Mount by Alan Furneaux. The price achieved of GBP 896.00 (€ 1,045.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alan Furneaux have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Marrakesh Pool in March this year with an auction result of GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,512.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Moonlight on St Michael's Mount von Alan Furneaux zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 896,00 (€ 1.045,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alan Furneaux auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Marrakesh Pool im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.845,00 (€ 5.512,12).
