Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Starlit Harbour (unframed) by Alan Furneaux. The price achieved of GBP 1,024.00 (€ 1,186.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Alan Furneaux have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Marrakesh Pool in March this year with an auction result of GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,512.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Starlit Harbour (unframed) von Alan Furneaux zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.024,00 (€ 1.186,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alan Furneaux auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Marrakesh Pool im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.845,00 (€ 5.512,12).
