The work Change of Course by Aisha Khalid was sold in the South Asian Modern & Contemporary auction at Christies in New York in September 2012. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,320.01), 16% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Aisha Khalid have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pattern to Follow in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,103.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Change of Course von Aisha Khalid wurde im September 2012 in der Auktion South Asian Modern & Contemporary bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.320,01) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aisha Khalid auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pattern to Follow im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.103,71).
