Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Pair of Ruffled Grouse in Flight by Aiden Lassell Ripley was sold in the Sporting Art auction at Christies in New York in December 2005. The price achieved of USD 26,400.00 (€ 22,293.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aiden Lassell Ripley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In Quail Country in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 204,000.00 (€ 240,736.37).

Die Arbeit A Pair of Ruffled Grouse in Flight von Aiden Lassell Ripley wurde im Dezember 2005 in der Auktion Sporting Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 26.400,00 (€ 22.293,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aiden Lassell Ripley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In Quail Country im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 204.000,00 (€ 240.736,37).
