Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2004 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Om by Aida Tomescu. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 1,434.00 (€ 835.27), 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aida Tomescu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zbor, 2003 in August this year with an auction result of AUD 35,670.00 (€ 21,285.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2004 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Om von Aida Tomescu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 1.434,00 (€ 835,27) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aida Tomescu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Zbor, 2003 im August diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 35.670,00 (€ 21.285,50).
