Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Aida Tomescu could be acquired at Christies in Sydney in May 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the CONTEMPORARY ART auction, the work Albastru changed hands for AUD 23,900.00 (€ 14,691.46) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 25,000.00 – 28,000.00. Other works by Aida Tomescu have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in August this year by the work Zbor, 2003 at AUD 35,670.00 (€ 21,285.50).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Aida Tomescu konnte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in Sydney für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion CONTEMPORARY ART wechselte die Arbeit Albastru für AUD 23.900,00 (€ 14.691,46) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 25.000,00 – 28.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Aida Tomescu wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im August diesen Jahres die Arbeit Zbor, 2003 mit AUD 35.670,00 (€ 21.285,50).
