Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Saudiillumination Xix & Xx by Ahmed Mater was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2016. The price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,065.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ahmed Mater have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Magnetism (Triptych) in June this year with an auction result of GBP 189,000.00 (€ 219,963.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Saudiillumination Xix & Xx von Ahmed Mater kam im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.065,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ahmed Mater auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Magnetism (Triptych) im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 189.000,00 (€ 219.963,46).
