Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Green Antenna by Ahmed Mater was sold in the Contemporary Art / Doha auction at Sothebys in Doha in April 2015. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,157.68). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ahmed Mater achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Magnetism (Triptych) in June this year with an auction result of GBP 189,000.00 (€ 219,963.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Green Antenna von Ahmed Mater wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Art / Doha bei Sothebys in Doha versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.157,68) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ahmed Mater erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Magnetism (Triptych) im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 189.000,00 (€ 219.963,46).
