This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art at Christies in Dubai and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 28,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ahmed Mater - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Magnetism (Triptych), which sold at auction in June this year for GBP 189,000.00 (€ 219,963.46).
