The work Sans titre (Totem) by Agustín Cárdenas was sold in the Art contemporain - Vente du jour auction at Christies in London in June this year. It achieved a price of EUR 100,800.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26 %. Admittedly, works by Agustín Cárdenas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le repos in October 2020 with an auction result of EUR 620,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sans titre (Totem) von Agustín Cárdenas wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Art contemporain - Vente du jour bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 100.800,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Agustín Cárdenas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le repos im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 620.000,00.
