Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work The Super Omnivore by Agus Suwage. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 860,000.00 (€ 76,931.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Agus Suwage have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2011 the work Impermanence Landscape was auctioned for HKD 1,460,000.00 (€ 126,879.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Super Omnivore von Agus Suwage zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 860.000,00 (€ 76.931,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Agus Suwage konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2011 die Arbeit Impermanence Landscape für HKD 1.460.000,00 (€ 126.879,43) versteigert.
