Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Super Simpanse 2 by Agus Suwage was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. The price achieved of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 17,792.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 240,000.00. Admittedly, works by Agus Suwage have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Impermanence Landscape in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 1,460,000.00 (€ 126,879.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Super Simpanse 2 von Agus Suwage kam im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 17.792,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 240.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Agus Suwage auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Impermanence Landscape im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.460.000,00 (€ 126.879,43).
