Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Duhai Cermin Katakan Tak Ada Ganteng di antara Kita (Mirror, mirror...we are as handsome as each other) signed and dated 'AGUS SUWAGE '2005'' (lower center) by Agus Suwage. The price achieved of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 34,708.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 280,000.00 – 380,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Agus Suwage - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Impermanence Landscape, which sold at auction in April 2011 for HKD 1,460,000.00 (€ 126,879.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Duhai Cermin Katakan Tak Ada Ganteng di antara Kita (Mirror, mirror...we are as handsome as each other) signed and dated 'AGUS SUWAGE '2005'' (lower center) von Agus Suwage zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 34.708,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 280.000,00 – 380.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Agus Suwage mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Impermanence Landscape beobachtet, die im April 2011 für HKD 1.460.000,00 (€ 126.879,43) versteigert wurde.
