Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Christies in London held the auction 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale, which included this untitled work by Agnes Martin. The price achieved of GBP 277,200.00 (€ 322,613.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Agnes Martin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled #44 in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 17,728,800.00 (€ 15,707,273.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th/21st Century: London Evening Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Agnes Martin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 277.200,00 (€ 322.613,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Agnes Martin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled #44 im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.728.800,00 (€ 15.707.273,85).
