In the Old Master and British Paintings auction, the work A Moonlit River Landscape With Shipping And A Town Beyond sold for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 47,936.15) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aert van der Neer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Frozen River At Sunset in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 4,757,000.00 (€ 4,213,463.24).
