The price achieved of GBP 329,000.00 (€ 446,766.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Admittedly, works by Aelbert Cuyp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A view of Dordrecht from the end of the Papendrechtse bank of the river Noord in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 2,866,000.00 (€ 3,079,071.77).
