Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Aelbert Cuyp could be acquired at Sothebys in London in July 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction, the work Portrait Of A Young Girl As A Shepherdess, Holding A Sprig Of Flowers changed hands for GBP 60,000.00 (€ 85,059.85) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aelbert Cuyp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of Dordrecht from the end of the Papendrechtse bank of the river Noord in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 2,866,000.00 (€ 3,079,071.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Aelbert Cuyp konnte im Juli 2015 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Young Girl As A Shepherdess, Holding A Sprig Of Flowers für GBP 60.000,00 (€ 85.059,85) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aelbert Cuyp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A view of Dordrecht from the end of the Papendrechtse bank of the river Noord im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.866.000,00 (€ 3.079.071,77).
