Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters Part I, which included the work A River Landscape With A Windmill And Gentlefolk In A Rowing Boat And On A Jetty In The Foreground by Aelbert Cuyp. The price achieved of USD 106,250.00 (€ 87,999.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aelbert Cuyp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of Dordrecht from the end of the Papendrechtse bank of the river Noord in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 2,866,000.00 (€ 3,079,071.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Masters Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit A River Landscape With A Windmill And Gentlefolk In A Rowing Boat And On A Jetty In The Foreground von Aelbert Cuyp zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 106.250,00 (€ 87.999,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aelbert Cuyp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A view of Dordrecht from the end of the Papendrechtse bank of the river Noord im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.866.000,00 (€ 3.079.071,77).
