Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Italianate landscape with shepherds by a grotto by Aelbert Cuyp was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 24,703.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aelbert Cuyp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of Dordrecht from the end of the Papendrechtse bank of the river Noord in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 2,866,000.00 (€ 3,079,071.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit An Italianate landscape with shepherds by a grotto von Aelbert Cuyp kam im Juli 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 24.703,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aelbert Cuyp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A view of Dordrecht from the end of the Papendrechtse bank of the river Noord im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.866.000,00 (€ 3.079.071,77).
