Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Aelbert Cuyp could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Old Master Paintings Including European Works of Art auction, the work Flooded River Landscape With Two Shepherds And Their Flock Of Sheep And Goats changed hands for USD 265,000.00 (€ 178,559.40) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aelbert Cuyp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of Dordrecht from the end of the Papendrechtse bank of the river Noord in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 2,866,000.00 (€ 3,079,071.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Aelbert Cuyp konnte im Januar 2008 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden.
