Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2001 Christies in London held the auction IMPORTANT OLD MASTER PICTURES, which included the work A River Landscape With A Cowherd Resting On His Crook, Smalschips On A River Beyond by Aelbert Cuyp. The price achieved of GBP 113,750.00 (€ 185,233.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aelbert Cuyp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of Dordrecht from the end of the Papendrechtse bank of the river Noord in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 2,866,000.00 (€ 3,079,071.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion IMPORTANT OLD MASTER PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A River Landscape With A Cowherd Resting On His Crook, Smalschips On A River Beyond von Aelbert Cuyp zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 113.750,00 (€ 185.233,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aelbert Cuyp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A view of Dordrecht from the end of the Papendrechtse bank of the river Noord im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.866.000,00 (€ 3.079.071,77).
