This artwork by Aelbert Cuyp achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in June 2010. In the Old Masters & 19th Century Art Including Select Works From the Salander-O'Reilly Galleries auction, the work A Herdsman in a field, the Duitsche Huis and Mariakerk, Utrecht beyond sold for USD 46,250.00 (€ 37,629.16) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aelbert Cuyp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of Dordrecht from the end of the Papendrechtse bank of the river Noord in January 2001 with an auction result of USD 2,866,000.00 (€ 3,079,071.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Aelbert Cuyp erzielte im Juni 2010 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art Including Select Works From the Salander-O'Reilly Galleries wurde die Arbeit A Herdsman in a field, the Duitsche Huis and Mariakerk, Utrecht beyond für USD 46.250,00 (€ 37.629,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aelbert Cuyp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A view of Dordrecht from the end of the Papendrechtse bank of the river Noord im Januar 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.866.000,00 (€ 3.079.071,77).
