Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bust of a Turkish Princess by Adrien-Etienne Gaudez was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in New York in April 2005. The price achieved of USD 62,400.00 (€ 48,300.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adrien-Etienne Gaudez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bust of a Turkish Princess, which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 149,000.00 (€ 176,227.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bust of a Turkish Princess von Adrien-Etienne Gaudez wurde im April 2005 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 62.400,00 (€ 48.300,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Adrien-Etienne Gaudez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bust of a Turkish Princess beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für USD 149.000,00 (€ 176.227,08) versteigert wurde.
